Variety Denomination Year
Nero d’Avola and others I.G.P. Terre Siciliane 2012 Harvest
Blend between local grape variety and grapes found worldwide, this wine is the combination of Nero d’Avola, a Sicilian typical variety, and Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot e Tennat, found internationally but cultivated locally. Because of this blend, this wine has very unique and specific traits, especially thanks to the climate of Sicily.
Ruby red in color, Magarìa Rosso has an intense Mediterranean spices taste that turns into coffe, chocolate and cloves flavor. Full, enveloping, soft and delicate, you can taste a delicious contrast between minerality, acidity and tannins that make this wine persistent and intense.
It is correctly paired up with structured red meat-based dishes, pork meat and lamb dishes.
Great with game main dishes, aged cheeses, meat-based Cous Cous, but also with some elaborate fish stew dish.
Should be poured into round wine glasses, opened on the spot or a few hours earlier.
Ideal service temperature is 16-18°C.
