Nero d’Avola I.G.P. Terre Siciliane 2012 Harvest
This red wine comes from 100% purity Nero d’Avola grape. Grapes that were harvested in September have been vinified in steel barrels.
Haris is refined inside oak wood barrels for 6 to 8 months, then into steel for 12 months and finally into the bottle for 6 to 8 months.
It’s a very well structured and full-bodied wine, harmonious, where acidity, alcohol and tannins coexists in a perfect relationship.
Ruby colored with purple red reflections, it is a very unique wine because of its flavor explosion: fruit, red berries, vanilla and sweet tobacco with balsamic hints.
Elegant yet strong, its acidity brings out a pleasant velvety tannic sensation that gives this wine persistency.
Towards the end you can feel boisè notes that come from tannins found in oak wood barrels.
It is perfect paired up with red roasted, oven cooked or barbequed meat.
Also incredible with braised meat. Great with meat-based main courses and aged cheeses.
Should be served into rounded wine glasses, and preferably opened a few hours before serving or on the spot.
Ideal serving temperature is 18 – 20°C.
